Christian ServiceThroughout the year, students are involved in a variety of ministries that allow them to put their faith into action and to see God work. Students are involved in ministry approximately half of the weekends of the year. Full participation is mandatory. Students have the possibility to participate in the following ministries: Choir/DramaThe choir travels approximately ten weekends during the year to sing and present sketches, drama presentations, and testimonies in churches and Christian schools. In addition to this, the choir also sings during camps and at other events.Children’s MinistryStudents work with a representative of Child Evangelism Fellowship in organizing and running Good News clubs in the Sherbrooke area during the school year and elsewhere during the summer.In addition to participating in the above ministries, students have the opportunity to participate in several of the following activities: Midnight MadnessThese all night youth rallies held in sports complexes attract unsaved youth to whom we are able to present the Gospel.Open Air EvangelismDuring the fall, the students share their faith each week on the streets of Sherbrooke and the surrounding area in cooperation with local churches. In addition to these outings, during the year they have many opportunities to be involved in evangelism in other cities throughout Quebec.Snow CampsThese camps are organized on the school’s campus and are attended by hundreds of youth from across the province of Quebec and beyond.Summer Camps (four or five weeks in July)During these camps, the students serve as counselors and participate in teaching and other roles.Missions tripsTwo-week long missions trips are organized to different destinations such as France or among First Nations communities located in northern Quebec. In the fall, students organize fund raising events to help finance these trips. |
